About
Boma International Hospitality College (BIHC) is a hospitality training institution in Nairobi, Kenya, established to develop skilled professionals for the hospitality and tourism industry. In partnership with Switzerland’s Business & Hotel Management School (BHMS), the college offers practical training in culinary arts, hotel management, hospitality operations, and baking and pâtisserie.
BIHC integrates environmental sustainability into hospitality education through sustainable cooking practices, food waste reduction, and responsible consumption and production. Its initiatives include Farm-to-Fork, which promotes local food sourcing, and zero-waste culinary practices that encourage students to minimise food waste while preparing meals. The college also has a Sustainability Club that engages students in environmental sustainability and the promotion of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These efforts help prepare future hospitality professionals to adopt environmentally responsible practices across the tourism and hospitality sector.
